Tassels & Checks

Easter Monday has been lovely and sunny, so it's a nice change to have some sun to come back to in the UK, because Manchester is known for its downfall of rain.

I took a nice stroll with my fab bez/room mate who kindly took the snaps posted below of today's outfit.

I'm looking forward to the sun to stay around longer ready for summer, because I mean who doesn't love the sun! After all a bit of vitamin d is good for you.

Happy Easter! x

Seasonal Spring Purchases

Did a little spring shop with the mother hen before NYC - which I got back from on Friday, it was incredible! I want to live there desperately. I will post about my trip soon.

Here a pic of my spring purchases, one of my favourite seasons. Neutral tones and monochrome two of my faves.

Believe it all not all of the above items I bought are from Primark which has some great pieces lately, they have improved their quality a lot. I've had quite a few compliments on the items I've worn so far, not noticbly Primark and really on trend - Monochrome, crochet material, nudes and shades of grey.

So with my recent increased appreciation for suede, and seeing it appearing more for S/S and A/W I thought I would include some of my favourite suede related shots, from pinterest - which I could spend hours on may I add. I have started a suede board to express my love for the luxury material, I want everything on there.

I have recently added a new purchase to my wardrobe, now a proud owner of this beauty (image below), a real suede jacket. Keeping it understated with the earthy toned colour pallet, it goes great with nudes, blacks and creams especially. I was eyeing it up for a while from Mango, (which I love at the moment). With it being my 21st a few weeks a go, I did some shopping and got treated to the fabulous statement piece thanks to me lovely Nan, I adore it!

So excited to where this in NYC (8 days!) and perhaps purchase some new boots to accompany it. (Because you can never have too many shoes).

I am absolutely loving, real and faux suede at the moment along with fringing and the whole boho vibe, which can be cool and casual, but also dressed up. Being a spring chick an all I love the spring season especially now the nights are getting lighter! And when the weather starts to warm up. I am looking forward to the new S/S trends on the high street and any great buys in NYC. I cant wait for summer to arrive and finally get some sun!

NYFW | LFW - Lusting

So with NYFW & LFW taking place it is safe to say I am very envious of the people who have been attending all the shows, I would give up chocolate for at least a month to be one excitable attendee. One day ey!

I have loved a lot of the collections and lusted over owning various pieces from the amazing designer collections, such as Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Burberry and more! Victoria Beckham was held in St. George's cathedral in New York which is on my list to visit when i go!
It's beautiful!

A few of my favourite shots from Elle, Vogue and designer Instagram posts are, Mulberry, the grey teddy bear coats look sooo warm and cosy! Whilst still looking on trend for AW15, 1205 Studio's funnel necks and gorgeous knits. Burberrys fabulous patterned trenches and matching fedoras worn by the amazing Jourdan Dunn and last but not least Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen's collection - The Row, lovely nude pallets with coffee hues and delightful baggy yet chic trousers.

Charity Shop Loving

Mac: Charity Shop - originally from Asos
                                                   Roll neck: New Look
                                                   Leather pants: Topshop
                                                   Fedora hat: Primark

So today, I went out for a lovely brunch and afternoon stroll around Manchester town and into one of my favourite areas which I live nearby - The Northern Quarter. I stumbled across this little charity shop on a corner. I had a peek in and to my surprise found this fabulous beige oversized mac/trench coat, which was originally from Asos (stated on the label). I tried it on and although the label said size 16 which would usually be way to big and hang off my shoulders as i'm an 8-10, it surprisingly looked great when it was on, as with the style of coat I personally like the oversized relaxed look and feel it has. Oh and for £12.99 - a match made in heaven!

I noticed my last blog post was about my other mac which I got last year around September, which is much lighter and more of a throw on and looks better open when layering. It is more of a jacket than a coat with its lightweight material, where as my new purchase feels and looks much more sturdy and that it would keep me warmer, especially as a 21st birthday present I am going to NEW YORK!!! At the end of March, which I am extremely excited about! I will be definitely posting about my time there, a place that has always been on my bucket list and I am lucky enough to have amazing parents to help me fund my trip big apple!

Anyway I do have a tendency to ramble on so I am going to get back to my uni work which is proving to be very difficult as I am set in the full time worker mind set (weekdays 9-6 can be a killer) being on placement, which has been great so far and opened up to a range of opportunities and more too come. I will hopefully post about my time at boohoo so far, when I get time. But for now caio.

Who doesn't love a bargain

So I got this fab mac at a bargain of £22 from primark in autumn time, it's one of those staple wardbrobe pieces to carry you through the seasons.

I accompanied it with a Topshop premium polo neck top which I love, the material is quite stiff so gives it shape and structure and it can be made casual or you can dress it up, which is another thing that's great about it.

I haven't had much time to blog lately, with being on my placement year at boohoo which is great! So I have resorted to blogging on the go, on my phone. Hopefully I will get some time to post about my experience at boohoo and other things for S/S15 after Christmas!

My new shoes

Just a post to show off my new shoes really, which I love. Victoria Beckham has featured some pointed shoes in her new collection. I think they are a bit of a love them or hate them shoe but i love the style and the black white colouring. Monochrome has definitely always been a favourite of mine, and a trend that is easily carried through the seasons as it approaches Autumn/Winter.

Looking forward to Autumn/Winter jumpers, cardigans, big coats, fur and of course layering!

The shoes I'm wearing are from Zara, can't get enough of Zara at the moment, I want all the shoes! And their fall collection has some gorgeous pieces. I also purchased a high neck top from Topshop's premium collection which I will post soon, along with a feature of my fabulous trip to Amsterdam!
