New Look Birmingham & Manchester Street Style

In December, I was on my way to uni when a girl from New look's head office in London and a free lance London fashion photographer asked if they could take a few pictures and ask a few questions for a 'street style' video they were doing. They had been to Birmingham then over to Manchester around the Christmas market areas and universities looking for stylish young students etc. I was chuffed when they stopped me, and asked if I wanted to feature in the video.

I had recently got back from London and purchased the hat which I'm wearing in the video, from the London Covent Garden Topshop, which I had wanted for a while, I think it goes nicely with my fur coat, which I mentioned in my previous post - also from Topshop. I like the colour of the hat, and I think it dresses up an outfit and is very on trend. I'm thinking of investing in a black one to go with my new Zara coat!

Below I have attached the video from You Tube where I feature among a few others describing my style and fashion wish list which I wanted for Christmas. I hate my voice on video, I think i'm trying to be quite serious on this video which is quite funny. I'm not sure how to crop the video of just my bit, so there it is.

New Coat

So I got this gorgeous new coat for Christmas, that I've barely took off since. Especially as it's been pretty Artic out there! I usually wear my beloved cream fur from Topshop in the colder weather, if I want to wear a longer coat but I thought I was in need of a new one. I have quite a few jackets, so I thought a new coat was in order and this fitted Zara number caught my eye, fits perfectly and I love the grey with the black leather panels and black interior.

I love Zara, I think their coats are very good value for money, precise tailoring and good quality. It's most definitely impressive how Zara manage to have a lead time of up to two weeks for a lot of their products! Which is great from a fashion buyer/merchandising point of view, but upsetting when I see something I want and it's out of stock!

I do love winter wardrobe attire, but I am looking forward to spring! Being a spring baby myself! And the weather warming up a little. Pastels are slowly approaching I have noticed in work (Topshop) and looking around, get yourself down to Topshop to get prepared for spring!

Below I've attached some pictures of me in my new coat and my beaut Marc by Marc Jacobs bag heading back to Manchester on the new year.

Enjoy x

Style Inspiration

Black, Grey & White

Always been a fan of the Olsen twins, I love how they always manage to look good whether they are going for a casual chic look, chilled dress down look or dressing up for a big event.
What I like about the above two pictures are the black, grey and white colours, personally I think these are three key colours for any trend and can be worn over most seasons. The back to basic but also statement colours can be teamed up with other brighter pieces, such as accessories depending on the look you are going for. I would always go for black if I'm unsure, you can't go wrong with black as it is timeless and classic.

I am loving hats and black leather this winter, so I thought the above two images were a great way to show some on trend skinny leather trousers and a classic black floppy hat, worn by two of my favourite style icons Kate Moss and Olivia Palermo.

CHUNKY KNITS: Personally I don't think you can go wrong with a simple, oversized knitted jumper, especially if its in black or grey. I love both the above jumpers and the outfits both of the girls are wearing. Both chunky knitted jumpers would look great dressed up or down, with a pair of Chelsea boots, heeled boots or even trainers. A key item in anyone's wardrobe!

I sourced all the above images from Pinterest, they are also pinned on my various fashion boards.

Mad on Marc Jacobs

I have recently joined the blogging world after a busy Christmas period in Manchester then home to Cheshire, where I have indulged in lots of food, wine and large amounts of glasses of bubbly, having lots of fun and spending quality time with family and friends. I have had a lovely Christmas and I hope you have too, I am looking forward to welcoming in the New Year.

I anticipated setting up a blog due to not being entirely sure how to get followers and add my social networking links etc, however I hope to pick this up shortly!

Over Christmas I have been spoilt with lots of gorgeous gifts and one I would never of guessed I would be receiving in the near future. My new pride and joy, my very own Marc Jacobs bag! I couldn't believe it when my boyfriend surprised me with this gorgeous black, soft, Italian leather piece from the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection. So versatile and goes with anything, I am absolutely over the moon with it! I was also lucky enough to have a matching Marc Jacobs ring and bracelet to go with it, which my mum had thoughtfully chosen all the way from Vegas!

I have always been a massive fan of Marc Jacob's collections and his various exciting and modern pieces, he is undoubtedly one of my favourite designers.
