Pink Lady

Pink Satin Bomber: Topshop
Striped T-Shirt: H&M
Leather Trousers: H&M
Western Boots: Forever 21 (Shanghai)
Baker Boy Hat: H&M

My post was going to start with the words, 'one of my favourite times of the year is when it's bomber season, when spring turns into summer and it's all about hot days and cool summer nights'... Untill I have woke up this morning and it was actually snowing! Yes snowing! (When it is nearly May!) What is going on Manchester? It was beautiful sunny weather last week as well. I really hope it turns around quickly as I have a wedding to go to on Saturday and my pretty light weight floaty dress is not cut out for this summer snowing malarkey.

Earlier in the week, I met with a friend for some lunch and a catch up and we took some outfit posts, she is quite the photographer. I think for blogging you need someone who is two things: patient and constructive and who actually enjoys doing it (unlike when I force my boyfriend - a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do).

Fortunetley for us, it was nice snd sunny so we were able to get some bright pictures, as i am still using my iPhone and hoping to get my hands on a camera some time soon.

I am in looove with my new dusty pink bomber! I had my eye on it as soon as it arrived in store a couple of weeks ago and then it sold out. It is now available to buy in stores and online including other colours: navy and black. I purchased it with my uniform allowance which is always fab to get that discount when you want some new wardrobe bits. FYI students get 20% off which is continuing untill the weekend.

As I wear a lot of black anyway i thought I would mix it up and get pink and it looks great with all black or monochrome, like in the above images. I feel like a pink lady in it and that is one sassy feeling, with some extra added sass especially with a baker boy hat, which is a look that has been trending at the moment. If you live in Manchester and can't get your hands on one on the high street, then try heading down to pop boutique in the northern quarter for a more vintage one off style, sold in some other colours too.

Happy Thursday, I'm off to revise! Wish me luck!

Sunday Brunchin'

Leather Jacket: Zara
Top: New Look
Mom Jeans: Topshop
Western Belt: Asos
Boots: Primark
Choker: Etsy

So this weekend I had the pleasure of my best friend coming to stay with me in Manchester and she always has been a fab photographer. We went for a lovely lunch and had a nice stroll whilst the sun was out, which seems to be a rare occasion in Manchester lately. Hoping that when May arrives so does the warm weather! (Wishful thinking) I just wanna get my legs out.

Below is a pic of me and the bestie repping the chokers and our delicious lunch, which was at Ezra & Gil in the Northern Quarter. Check it out for a things brunch and the tastiest latte's in town.

Brick by brick

Leather Jacket: Zara
Striped T-shirt: H&M
Waxed look jeans: Topshop
Shoe Boots: Topshop
Western belt: Asos
Choker: Etsy
Sunglasses:
Primark

I couldn't think of a blog title so due to the biker babe vibes today, I feel like the choice of music to fit my look and mood today would definitely be one of my fave bands Arctic Monekys and it's fitting as they have a song called brick by brick. I love a brick wall for a blog post picture.

Three of my fave new purchases, mentioned below the images have been thoughtful birthday presents off my lovely mum and friends. The sassy Spring/ Summer boots are new at Topshop the name is 'Home' and the black choker and fab silver and black western style belt are both online and available on Asos.

On the last two pics I look like I'm having a good scratch and that someone has just said there's free chocolate cake! Which reminds me it is Easter so time to eat more chocolate! (Any excuse)

Have a lovely bank holiday Monday everyone I am back in Manchester, having a day out eating and shopping with the fam. Enjoy!

Happy Easter

So after a week in London seeing my best friend as well as the opportunity to work at John Lewis head office in the buying department (which was fab) I came home to have a nice relaxing Easter weekend with the family.

My mum has recently purchased this lovely blue and grey tweed chair! As I've always had a soft spot for interior design I thought I would post the little cosy corner in our kitchen/lounge area. Blue and cream is the main theme, with splashes of colour, I love the vibracy, I always said my wonderful mum should have tried out interior design.

Outfit posts and more fashion related posts to follow soon, now I have finally handed in my dissertation and have more free time! Yes (what a feeling) although I have 3 exams in May and then uni is over forever... Such a scary thought! I'm looking forward to my end of uni/belated birthday trip to Budapest with the Boyf though! I will be sure to post pics of us being sassy on our travels.

Happy bank holiday weekend x

Earn your stripes

Striped top: H&M
Leather trousers: H&M
Bandana/neckerchief: Vintage shop

I feel like a modern day cowgirl in my bandana but I'll be honest I'm loving it. I went out for tea with my lovely Mumsy back in Manchester yesterday and the lovely waitress said I looked really cool, so that made me feel like i can pull off the bandana look... You know when you get that 'you go girl feeling!'

I've always been a fan of the saying 'it's nice to be nice' as the little compliments can brighten up someone's day!

With that in mind I thought I would do a post to update the neckerchief inspiration on the blog this week, with my first bandana outing. I decided to pair my favourite red one with a staple long sleeved striped top, for that laid back look. I'm recently realised I may have a slight obsession for stripes! My mum pointed this out as I purchased another similar top form H&M's range; which I must add they have some fab bits in at the mo.

But then again can you ever have too many striped tops?

Romantic Ruffles

Ruffle Tie-Neck Shirt: Topshop

Following on the French theme, I thought I would do a quick post about my latest purchase... Which I am loving and have had quite a few people complimenting and asking about where it's from.

Personally I think a crisp ivory shirt never goes out of style and should be a staple piece in your wardrobe, worn to acheive that day to night casual yet chic look. One of my favourite white shirt styles is my long white shirt, which has the right amount of structure (included in the 'Fluffy Dream' blog post).

So for those of you who are a fan of white shirts/blouses like myself and are dying to welcome the Spring/Summer season (can I get a heeeeellll yeah!) then refresh your wardrobe ready for the new season with this classic take on a white shirt; the tie neck gives the shirt an elegant feel paired with the ruffle detail giving it a romantic twist. All in all the right amount of smart and feminine for any gal!

I went for a sophisticated look here, styled with some leather trousers, hair up in a loose wave with black heeled boots. The blouse feels nice and lightweight and is quite versatile to suit different outfit looks, maybe style with a denim skirt or mom jeans for pared down nonchalance.

Parisian Chic

Originally did this post and totally forgot to save it and it dissappeared! Not ideal!

So with my love for anything striped, leather and basically French looking I thought i would do a post on my love for Parisian style.

One of my favourite books I have read recently is 'How to be Parisian'. A great read, with the right amount of intriguing content and eye catching imagery.

(Hard back book: WHSmith and at a good price too).

I am yet to finish it unfortunately due to the work load of final year coming down like a ton of bricks. Sugary baked goods have been just about getting me through!

On the subject of Parisian style I have been pinning quite a few street style looks that took my fancy, as I was looking for inspiration to wear my bandana as a neck tie - a key look this season, which will no doubt carry through. I've always liked the way Parisian styling creates an effortless yet chic look which is easily achievable. Some of my favourite pins I have included below:

Above image: Blogger 'The man repeller' cool name and very cool gal, check her out on Instagram and her blog for more style inspiration.

The above images all include similar items of clothing with I have so I'm looking forward to mixing it up in spring and summer with my bandanas/neck ties to create day to night looks after this cold weather has dissappeared! Check on my Pinterest for further style inspo!
