The Culottes

So this is one of my first new purchase working back at Topshop, I haven't even got my discount card yet but I couldn't resist! They are so comfy yet look really dressy and chic! I love the very small textured pleat also, hopefully you can make it out on the images (I think I might invest in a new camera for blogging at Christmas for clearer quality, the iPhone 6 is good but isn't sharp enough).

I decided to go for a dressy yet laid back look today, I teamed the culottes with two items that look very 'Topshopey' however aren't! (See below). And my favourite go to suede jacket.

If you live in Manchester you must head to Topshop Arndale not only for the fab new autumn/winter clothing but for a free makeover! Yes you heard it right... FREE and the girls are amazing! They are also really knowledgeable about all the products and are happy to give any makeup tips/advice!

(Slight wardrobe malfunction with my too ticked in! Nightmare)

The Striped Dress, (featuring menswear)

So as mentioned in my previous post I am working at Topshop again and I end up wanting and buying most of the clothes and spending the majority of my wage on them! I have my uniform allowance which has increased to 5 pieces at 60% off which is fab aswell as 25%.

The outfit I wore to work today was bought with a gift card as a leaving gift from boohoo which was lovely.

It's from Topshop's boutique collection which I have always been a fan of! I just wish some of the stuff wasn't so expensive. However this little Autumn number was £45 but I think that's reasonable as it is a really good quality material and I do love stripes.

Jumper dress: Topshop Boutique
Black fedora: Primark
Pointed boots: Boohoo
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

I would also like to feature my lovely boyfriend in this post. He has a slick yet edgy sense of style and always looks on trend in his own individual style, which can depend on the season. Personally I think the way someone dresses says a lot about them as a person and how they express their individuality, I like the way Jon mixes things up like myself. He is going for a smart casual look in the below outfit.

For any male readers out there or menswear fashion enthusiasts like myself, places of purchase are:

Bomber jacket: Topman Premium
Long sleeve shirt: Allsaints
Slim fit jeans: Nudie Jeans
Brogues: Grenson (Harvey Nichols)
Watch: Guess, Ring: Afflex palace (Mcr)

Day dreaming

So after finishing placement and getting back in Topshop part time - ready for final year (gulp), I'm not working everyday 9-6 now so I have more spare time on my hands. Which has been nice to chill before the hard work kicks in again in september! I've just been seeing family & friends going out, lunching, and dog sitting! Which isn't too bad when your dog is as cute as my families, he's one big baby! An American Bull Dog.

I have still been summer lusting though. Because we haven't had the best summer for weather this year, just odd days! Where's the consistency Mr sunshine? Although I have been very lucky this year with holidays, going to New York! (which I miss so much!) And Croatia, I feel like I haven't had enough sun and relaxing time on a beach. As Croatia was a week long festival! Well a girl can wish even if it's for a few days before I go back to uni... We'll see. (This is why I need to be a lady of leisure who can jet off whenever she pleases).

So this post is just about summer/fashion lusting. Images sourced below from one of my favourite blogs 'theyallhateus' and other pinterest sources - I'm obsessed!

Enjoy! xo

The cord skirt

Sometimes it's great to be simple and understated but still feel like you've made an effort but done it effortlessly, you know what I mean. I feel like the cord skirt combined with my fave suede jacket does the job.

It can be casual yet chic and also dressed up. Outfits that can go from day to night are definitely the one on summer days out with no time to change or straight out after work.

Here's yesterday outfit (first picture) and today's outfit (pictures to follow), dressed for a lovely meal with the family, wearing the cord skirt a bit more dressed up.

                     Fedora: Topshop
                     Cami top: Topshop
                     Cord skirt: Topshop
                     Suede jacket: mango
                     Boots: Boohoo
                     Belt: Primark

Dressing the skirt up with an old time favourite pair of matalan shoes believe it or not. The fringe bag is from a boutique in Wales which is also an old time fave. Not forgetting a touch of Chanel No. 5, courtesy of my stylish Nan. Who is definitely a style icon.

Home sweet home

So I finished my years placement at boohoo on Friday! How quick that year has gone! I am so glad I got the opportunity to do a placement in fashion and gain that extra experience to put on my CV for final year/when I graduate. Its so scary to think in less that a year uni will all be over. Well as everyone says I need to make the most of it, and also buckle down and get the work done. I will be thanking family & friends in advance to those who are going to have to put up with me next year, whilst I'm trying to contain my stress levels!

For now I have the rest of summer to prep myself and chill! But also secure a part time job to help finance my wishful luxury lifestyle. Back to the 'living a champagne lifestyle on lemonade wages.' Most definitely going to miss my full time wage *sob*.

I have not long got back from the garden festival in Croatia, it was my second time and it was sadly the last one after 10 years running. It is hands down one of the best festivals to go to. It's a holiday and a festival in one, what more could you want! I feel like a chilled sunbathing holiday is in need before my return to uni though... hopefully.

At the moment I am currently at home for a few days, spending my time seeing family and home friends which is always lovely. I just wish the sun would come back out so I could get in the garden!

Outfit post to come soon from yesterday's attire for a lunch date with the boyfriend checking out the new yard & coop in Manchesters northern quarter, hands down the best chicken around!

Check it out!

NYC! ❤️🇺🇸

Finally getting round to doing my New York post! Even if it's is 2 months late!

Well what a trip it was! It has got to be my favourite place! I would love to live there! Or atleast go again for much longer, but it's definitely a place to save for before you go! It isn't cheap but you have THE best time there, such an amazing city and chic/cool way of living.

There was so much to see and do. I feel like we did everything we wanted to do, in terms of touristy stuff and places we wanted to visit. You definitely wouldn't run out of things to do in New York!

A few of my highlights were going up to top of the rock at the Rockefeller centre, going to a Knicks game at Madison square garden, walking along the Williamsburg bridge into Brooklyn and biking around Central Park! Such incredible views and memories! Not forgetting brunching every day! Can't beat it! I miss it so much, me and my boyfriend are already considering our next holiday there! Potentially in summer!

I have made a list of all the things we did and saw and have kept some memorabilia's and souvenirs, so I'm hopefully going to make a scrap book at some point.

Here are just some of my favourite NY pics! My album was more than 200! Snap happy tourist or what!

Take me back! xo
