Sunshine yellow

Leather biker jacket: Zara
White t-shirt: Primark
Culottes: Topshop
Lace up sandals: Mango

So the sun has been shining (well a fair amount for Manchester anyway). And this beauty of a jacket just shouts summer and sunshine! So I thought I would make the purchase after dreaming about it for a while! There is also a pink and blue leather jacket and I would get all three if I had the money. They're a really nice fit and look fab on and jazz up any outfit and are reasonably priced too! Today was this sassy leathers first outing and due to the warmth I teamed it with my favourite floaty culottes and my new amazing Chloé-esque lace up sandals (only a few left in the Manchester store so go go go!)

I went to a fab rooftop party in Manchester over this bank holiday weekend and this outfit would have been perf! Let's hope this weather stays so I can wear the sandals more often and throw on the leather when the sun goes down!

Summer favourites

Front cross over bra: urban outfitters

Opal necklace: afflex's palace (Manchester)

Moisturising face mask and 'knot a problem' hair primer both: H&M conscious range

Chanel number 5 premiére: Chanel (Selfridges)

I thought I would do a quick post about my new summer favourite beauty and lingerie pieces. The elegant black cross over bra adds to my free people collection with similar lingerie pieces of lace, black, velvet and strappy. A little treat from boyfriend (he's the best). I have been after a bra that crosses over at the front for a while, a staple lingerie piece to jazz up that summer outfit.

For those of you that have sensitive skin like myself or a just after a skincare treat, try out H&M's new beauty range. I recently purchased some products from the range. The moisturising face mask is part of H&M's conscious range, made from organic aleo vera, shea butter and jojoba oil and to top it off its fragranced with essential oils, it really is dreamy! (A must have for that moisture surge). The price ranges start from about £4.00 up to £10.00 depending on the product, but they are definetley worth it and there is quite a selection on offer.

I have been dying to get my hands on a little succulent for my room, I bought this cute little cacti from an independent flourist in Manchester city centre. However they are also available in ikea, sold with similar pots.

Those of you who haven't checked out abacus jewellery in afflex's palace Manchester, get yourself down there. There is such a huge offer of beautiful jewellery, perfect for presents of just a gift to yourself, because if you can't treat yourself then who can?! They source their stones from Cambodia and India and there is a vast selection of one off pieces with a wide price range. Defo worth the journey even if it isn't local.

Did someone say sun?

Top: Free People - New York store
Pleated Skirt: New Look
Heeled Sandals: Primark
Western Belt: A
SOS

So those of you like myself that were able to enjoy the first of the true summer sun over the last few days, will totally agree that the sun was cracking the flags -  as my Nan always says (shes the cutest).

Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy the sun in its truest form, consisting of beer garden/general outdoor drinking, instead I was revising. It wasn't all bad as I have a nice little grass area and outdoor seating near my local costa coffee, so I decided to put on some summer clothes and enjoy a nice frappuccino in the sun with my revision.

I loved this outfit as it felt supper summery, yet classic in true Aimee monochrome style - one of my favorite colour pallets because you can carry it through season to season.

The free people strappy top has to be my all time favorite summer piece, due to my love for the free people brand and their boho ranges. It has a beautiful strappy, open back detail that you tie together. This top was purchased on my trip to New York, the visual merchandising and overall layout of their NY store is very aesthetically pleasing! They also give customers the cutest little paisley print bags with free people written on them. Cute, summery and reusable! What more could you want. Free people is now also stocked in retailers such as urban outfitters and asos instore and online, which is fab as you can get student discount (Something I soon to be devastated about when it runs out! - Disadvantages to leaving uni).

I would definitely recommend buying a pleated floaty skirt this summer, they make you look and feel sassy and can be worn with multiple outfits from day to night, similar styles are also sold in Topshop and online at Boohoo.

I am writing this post in hope that the glorious weather returns in time for post exam celebrations at the weekend! Come on Manchester, you know you want to.

Check out my other fashion related pics and just me being me over on my Instagram and Pinterest. Hoping to re-vamp the blog when I have finished uni and get access to social media links, but for now it will have to be old school copy and paste!
