The cord skirt

Sometimes it's great to be simple and understated but still feel like you've made an effort but done it effortlessly, you know what I mean. I feel like the cord skirt combined with my fave suede jacket does the job.

It can be casual yet chic and also dressed up. Outfits that can go from day to night are definitely the one on summer days out with no time to change or straight out after work.

Here's yesterday outfit (first picture) and today's outfit (pictures to follow), dressed for a lovely meal with the family, wearing the cord skirt a bit more dressed up.

                     Fedora: Topshop
                     Cami top: Topshop
                     Cord skirt: Topshop
                     Suede jacket: mango
                     Boots: Boohoo
                     Belt: Primark

Dressing the skirt up with an old time favourite pair of matalan shoes believe it or not. The fringe bag is from a boutique in Wales which is also an old time fave. Not forgetting a touch of Chanel No. 5, courtesy of my stylish Nan. Who is definitely a style icon.

Home sweet home

So I finished my years placement at boohoo on Friday! How quick that year has gone! I am so glad I got the opportunity to do a placement in fashion and gain that extra experience to put on my CV for final year/when I graduate. Its so scary to think in less that a year uni will all be over. Well as everyone says I need to make the most of it, and also buckle down and get the work done. I will be thanking family & friends in advance to those who are going to have to put up with me next year, whilst I'm trying to contain my stress levels!

For now I have the rest of summer to prep myself and chill! But also secure a part time job to help finance my wishful luxury lifestyle. Back to the 'living a champagne lifestyle on lemonade wages.' Most definitely going to miss my full time wage *sob*.

I have not long got back from the garden festival in Croatia, it was my second time and it was sadly the last one after 10 years running. It is hands down one of the best festivals to go to. It's a holiday and a festival in one, what more could you want! I feel like a chilled sunbathing holiday is in need before my return to uni though... hopefully.

At the moment I am currently at home for a few days, spending my time seeing family and home friends which is always lovely. I just wish the sun would come back out so I could get in the garden!

Outfit post to come soon from yesterday's attire for a lunch date with the boyfriend checking out the new yard & coop in Manchesters northern quarter, hands down the best chicken around!

Check it out!
